I am so excited about my new house. Signing lots of paperwork and hopefully getting a closing date tomorrow. The first one they proposed is May 17th, and that is just unacceptable to me. The house is empty, and I don’t want it sitting empty for almost two months.
I have to say I love my realtor. She has an awesome sense of humor, and she is just much more fun to be around than the first one.
The home inspection was this week. Thankfully nothing major is wrong with my cute little house. So now I’m waiting on the bank guys to tell me the paperwork is all set so I can sign it. I am really looking forward to moving so I’m hoping to get all of this stuff signed soon. This process is a lot longer and more complicated than I had imagined.
I am learning a new meaning of patience.
A house I really liked is back on the market so I’m optimistic. Maybe I can go look it tomorrow? Fingers crossed because I need some good news.
Looking is super frustrating. And to pour salt in the wound of a terrible break up my brother is going to ask his girlfriend to marry him.
Well the condo thing was just a big mess. No one wanted to finance it because the developer still owned so many of them. Saw a couple of other condos but they were a let down.
So I have moved on, or well back, to looking at small older homes in the less fancy city. Found one with great potential but it would be kind of a lot of work.
A few weeks ago I found a condo that I love. It is close to my work, walking distance to a farmers market, and has its own front door and backyard space.
But now I wait and wait and wait while I struggle with banks and lawyers. First I applied to a local credit union only to rarely get my calls returned. So then I applied to a bigger bank. I filled out all the paperwork and was then told “oh we don’t do short sales”. Now things are moving again. I found Ryan. He is my new favorite person. He does mortgages including short sales and returns my calls. So fingers crossed it is smooth sailing from here.
It’s been a while since I’ve sat down and written anything in this. I guess I just lost the motivation to write about craft projects. But the past few weeks I’ve been really busy finding a home to buy, and I’m really excited about that.
I found a one bedroom condo about 20 minutes from where I live now, and I’m in love with it. But it is a short sale. Hopefully it will close quickly, but my realtor keeps warning me that it could take up to 6 months.
With everything that has happened over the past I guess it has been 5 months now it will be so amazing and wonderful to have a space that is my own and no one can take away from me.
